The Knights Templar Enigma

Conspiracy and mystery encircle the Knights Templar. They rose to almost unassailable might and wealth from their genesis in the First Crusade. Then after two centuries they were wiped out almost in one fell swoop from their position of European strength. They were charged with heresy and immorality and their tale was thought to end with their suppression, particularly by those whose positions of power had been threatened by the Order.
